Ferrofluid Flask Power Upgrades in Valor Mortis are an important resource that I recommend you go out of your way to find, because gathering enough of these allows you to upgrade the potency of your Ferrofluid Flasks so that each one heals you for more.
Having a Flask that only restores half of your health is a bit of a pain at the best of times, but you'll never be in that situation if you use the below list of all Valor Mortis Ferrofluid Flask Power Upgrade locations that I've put together.

Ferrofluid Flask Power Upgrade Upgrade #1 Upgrade #2 Upgrade #3 Upgrade #4 Upgrade #5 Upgrade #6 Upgrade #7 Upgrade #8 Upgrade #9 Upgrade #10 Upgrade #11 Upgrade #12 Upgrade #13 Upgrade #14 Upgrade #15 Upgrade #16 Upgrade #17 Upgrade #18 Upgrade #19 Upgrade #20 Upgrade #21 Upgrade #22 Upgrade #23 Upgrades #24, #25, and #26Power Upgrade #1
From the Valley of Ashes Guidepost Lantern, follow the path around to your left until you're met with the cliff edge, which has a small wooden boardwalk coming off it. Rather than continue to your right, go left and over the crates here to be met with an enemy guarding a chest that contains the Ferrofluid Flask Power Upgrade.
Power Upgrade #2
You'll find this shortly after being introduced to the Howler enemies; the dog-hybrid human folk. If you clear the encampment (near the Military Camp Lantern in the Valley of Ashes) following your first encounter with these enemies, you should eventually reach a small camp with both a blue memory and a cannon.
Interacting with the cannon destroys a gate back near the area's Lantern; go through this gate and defeat the enemies that follow. After the shielded enemy and grenadier enemy, there's a chest you can open containing the Ferrofluid Flask Power Upgrade.
Power Upgrade #3
This Upgrade is found inside a chest in the Fallen Village, just before where you can shoot the Nephtoglobin node that opens up a shortcut back to the Fields Lantern in the beginning of the area.
Power Upgrade #4
From the Marketplace Lantern in the Fallen Village, go into the open barn straight ahead, up the ramp and left. You'll reach an area with a ladder you can kick down on your left, and jump down onto a carriage on the right. Jump down then go into and through the house on your left, being careful of the soldiers up ahead.
Exit the house and go up the ramp in front of you, then jump onto the rafters that surround the next building. The Ferrofluid Flask Power Upgrade is in a chest in the building beneath you now, but you'll likely want to clear out the patrolling soldiers first.
Power Upgrade #5
This is best accessed after exploring the Poisoned Camp in the Vale of Wrath, reaching the bridge with the Iron Marshall-like enemy on it, and unlocking the shortcut (back to the Under the Bridge Lantern) that's on the opposite side of the bridge. (There's a ladder to kick down here that drops you off at the Lantern.)
Either way, after this bridge, there's a locked gate. If you climb up the rocks straight ahead and wall-ride over to the interior of the building however, you'll be able to use a lever to open the gate, but you'll need to use Stasis on the cog powering this so it doesn't immediately close again. Then, enter the gate and open the chest on your left; this contains the Ferrofluid Flask Power Upgrade.
Power Upgrade #6
From the Ship Graveyard Lantern in the Vale of Wrath, go straight ahead and use the platforms to reach the ship graveyard itself.
Here, there'll be a large ship in the middle of the area full of enemies that you need to shoot from afar. Once you then go and board that ship, look at the cargo storage on the lower levels, where there's a chest guarded by a couple of enemies. Inside the chest, you'll find the Ferrofluid Flask Power Upgrade.
Power Upgrade #7
Complete the 'The Curious Case of Seamus Diggory' side quest in the Cursed Hollow (which is closest to the Silent Cannons Lantern). Upon completing the quest, you will receive this item regardless of what choice you choose at the end of it. (For what it's worth, don't give Seamus the blood.)
Power Upgrade #8
Open the chest that immediately follows the High Justicar Aurelius, Last of the Faithful boss fight in the Outskirts to receive this Ferrofluid Flask Power Upgrade.
Power Upgrade #9
The below assumes that you have unlocked multiple shortcuts between the Tribunal Square Lantern and the Shamble Street Lantern. (The first is the steel gate near the guillotine that's locked from the other side, the second is the large steel gate beside Shamble Street that can only be opened using the lever on the opposite side of it, and the third is the ladder near the first gate I mentioned that must be kicked down from above.)
By using all of the aforementioned shortcuts from the Tribunal Square Lantern, you'll be able to reach the area with the large statue and large wooden fort very quickly.
In this area, the grenadier is guarding a chest that contains a Ferrofluid Flask Power Upgrade.
Power Upgrade #10
From the Sewers Lantern in the City of Orphans, go into the sewers and use the grapple hook you will quickly run into. Instead of going straight ahead and deeper into the sewers, head left and use the grapple hook again – at a slightly different angle this time – to reach a room containing a chest. Open this chest to receive a Ferrofluid Flask Power Upgrade.
Power Upgrade #11
The following assumes you have unlocked the shortcut through the leftmost door atop the stairs in the University's Main Hall. You also need to have unlocked the Shield Transmutation to grab this.
From the Main Hall Lantern in the University, go upstairs and through the leftmost door. Go down the hall and at the crossroad, go right and jump to the opposite balcony using the chandelier. Next, go down the poisonous hallway – using the Shield Transmutation to prevent you from taking damage – and into the small passage just beyond it. Ride the elevator in the next room downwards.
Proceed straight ahead next and left up the stairs towards the statue. Collect the item here and four enemies will appear for you to kill. Once they've been taken care of, go behind the statue and open the chest there to receive a Ferrofluid Flask Power Upgrade.
Power Upgrade #12
After having gained access to the Lift Shaft that's past the Lift Shaft Lantern in the University (which means finding the Lift Shaft Key first, which is in the room full of Howler enemies), ride the lift down to the lower level. Next, go along the passage opposite the lift (the dark tunnel, not the green room you will have visited earlier).
Along the following passage, go left and then right to arrive at a chest; but don't stand on the platform in front of it, or you'll quickly be poisoned. The chest itself is also trapped, so be prepared to step back after opening it. Inside, you'll find a Ferrofluid Flask Power Upgrade.
Upgrade #13
From the Traverse Lantern in the Fortress area and assuming you're facing away from the locked gate (which needs two lit signal towers to open), go straight ahead and right past the Eternal Guardsman and Volunteer enemies.
In the next area, keep right and straight ahead to come to some ruins you can climb up. You'll be able to take a breather here but not for long, as another shielded enemy is up ahead. Go along this passage then use the Nephtoglobin formations that follow to reach the opposite side of the ruins.
Here, go right and look left as you do to find a chest. Open it to receive a Ferrofluid Flask Power Upgrade.
Upgrade #14
From the Tribunal Square Lantern in the City of Orphans, go left onto the long street that has the Volunteer enemy at the end of it, then enter the house directly beside him.
Inside the house, go upstairs and keep right to come to a ruined wall. If you carefully exit via this wall and look left, there's a narrow wooden path to follow that leads to the back garden of the house you were just in.
Jump down into this garden and defeat the miniboss soldier there to receive the Bottomless Well Amber, then open the chest here to receive the Ferrofluid Flask Power Upgrade.
Upgrade #15
From the Laboratories Lantern in the University, go into the glowing green passage on your left. As soon as you enter this passage, jump down and u-turn to find two trapped chests that contain the Lunatic's Grasp Amber and a Ferrofluid Flask Power Upgrade. Just be careful of the poison here (and the chests, of course)!
Upgrade #16
From the Ramparts Lantern in the Fortress, go up the staircase on your right to come to an area with two Remnant of the Iron Regiment enemies. On the right here, before the big mass of corruption, there's a ladder you can climb.
Go up the ladder and right, then up the stairs and right again. You'll arrive at a chest containing this Ferrofluid Flask Power Upgrade.
Upgrade #17
From the Quarry Lantern in the Valley of Ashes, go up the elevator directly in front of you. At the top, turn around and grapple hook over to the opposite side of the area. Pull down the crate here and ride it upwards to arrive at more grapple hooks.
Make your way up to the top of this area to find a chest that contains a Ferrofluid Flask Power Upgrade. Though, do note that this is guarded by a Volunteer enemy who is hidden as you approach.
Upgrade #18
From the Old Mine Lantern in the Caverns, go straight ahead into the mines. You need to use the crate here – that you can freeze using Stasis – to reach the opposite side of the room, then go up the ladder there and cross the room again.
To do this, interact with the crate's lever then freeze it at around halfway up, and use it to cross to the other side.
Next, go left to reach a ladder. Ignore the ladder and instead, go left again past the mutant enemy here. Keep left until you come to a huge cog that has a soldier skewered into it, then go right.
Along this next passage, there's a ladder in front of you, and a ladder down to your right. Go down the ladder on your right, then U-turn and go along the passage beneath the ladder.
Then, go left to arrive in a large room where you're going to need to travel across moving cogs and use Stasis to freeze them; there's also a Volunteer and a Grenadier here.
Once you reach (and use) the Grapple point on the opposite side of this room, use the lever that'll immediately be on your left. This moves the crate in front of you, where there's another cog you can freeze using Stasis; do this when the crate is about halfway up again.
Go up the staircase beside the crate and then use the crate to reach the opposite side of the scaffolding here. You'll then arrive at a chest that contains this Ferrofluid Flask Power Upgrade/
Upgrade #19
From the Old Mine Lantern in the Caverns, go into the room behind you with the elevator and ride it downwards. (This shortcut will only be accessible after fully exploring the Caverns.) While riding the elevator, make sure to grab the Mining Shaft Key from the beams surrounding it as you descend if you haven't already.
At the bottom of the elevator, go straight ahead into the next room then look for a small opening on the right that you can crawl through.
Go up the ladder on your left, then left again, to reach a gate you can open using the Mining Shaft Key. Ride the elevator that's past the gate.
At the bottom, you'll arrive in a room full of crates and platforms, and your goal is to make your way to the bottom of this area, where you'll find a Volunteer gunman guarding a chest. Kill him and open the chest to receive a Ferrofluid Flask Power Upgrade/
Upgrade #20
From the Village Church Lantern in the Cursed Hollow, go along the passage behind you and left into the alleyway. At the end of the alley, go right into the poisonous part of the village, and behind the hut with the sacks on its balcony.
Here, there's a Nephtoglobin node in the next house that you can shoot.
After shooting it, go into the house and upstairs, then jump into the house opposite you. Here, you'll find a chest containing your next Ferrofluid Flask Power Upgrade.
Upgrade #21
From the Deep Water Lantern in Cursed Hollow, go straight ahead past the houses with the blue banners on them and go right. Follow this passage until you arrive at the large tree covered in Spewer enemies then go left.
Look for an open hut on your left now, then go inside. Once inside, look through the window on the right-hand side of the building and you should see a Nepthtoglobin node in the next building that you can shoot.
After shooting the node, exit the building and look to your left, where there's a wagon you can now climb to reach the upper floor of a house.
Do this, kill the Swarm Mother who approaches you, and then open the chest inside to claim the next Ferrofluid Flask Power Upgrade.
Upgrade #22
From the Ramparts Lantern in the Fortress, go through the archway behind you and right, then go down the ladder here. At the bottom, go right and keep right around the edge of the room – using the Nepthtoglobin railing along the way – to find a room you can enter.
In the next room, crawl through the corruption ahead then go down the stairs. On your left, burn the yellow growth and go along the long corridor ahead to find a blue memory you can listen to, as well as the Captain's Key.
Next, fast travel to the Traverse Lantern in the Fortress and open the building on your left using the Captain's Key. Inside, you'll be able to open a chest and collect your next Ferrofluid Flask Upgrade.
Upgrade #23
From the Ramparts Lantern in the Fortress, go through the archway behind you and right, then go down the ladder here. At the bottom, go right and keep right around the edge of the room – using the Nepthtoglobin railing along the way – to find a room you can enter.
In the next room, crawl through the corruption ahead then go down the stairs. At the bottom, continue into the hallway straight ahead of you then go right at the very end. You'll arrive at a lever you can interact with to open the gate in front of you. Make sure to use Stasis on the cog controlling the gate after doing this!
Go into the next room and up the ladder on your left, being careful of the Abomination enemy here. Atop the ladder, wall-ride along the following platform and you'll be dropped off at a Spewer enemy and an item: the Fortress Armory Key.
With this in your possession, return to the bottom of the room and enter the room full of water and chains. There'll be a lever on your right here to interact with that raises some wooden platforms, allowing you to access the opposite side of this room.
In the next room, go right and then left to arrive in the armory area where there's a bunch of inactive hand grenades on the floor. On the right of this area is a gate you can unlock using the Fortress Armory Key, and inside, there's a chest you can open to receive the final Ferrofluid Flask Power Upgrade.
Upgrades #24, #25, and #26
