d4v41, Jinggg bid farewell to Paper Rex

Paper Rex parted ways with Wang “Jinggg” Jing Jie and captain Khalish “d4v41” Rusyaidee in a series of dedicated videos that tugged on fans’ heartstrings. See what the ex-PRX players had to say about their time with the iconic VALORANT squad.

After a disappointing 7th-8th place finish at VALORANT Champions 2026, Paper Rex is letting go of its captain and franchise player, d4v41, along with Jinggg.

Since the VCT era, Paper Rex had kept most of its players the same. The same three-man core that involved d4v41 and Jinggg gave the team its identity, so their departures make this the organization’s biggest rebuild yet.

PRX d4v41 out

d4v41 joined the organization on Feb. 2020 as a player on its Counter-Strike: Global Offensive lineup. Alexandre “alecks” Sallé joined at the same time, who eventually coached PRX to VALORANT fame. Both d4v41 and alecks swapped games on 2021, where they have spent their entire professional VALORANT career on.

Given that, d4v41 has become synonymous with Paper Rex over the years.

“Now it’s gonna be a new version of Paper Rex. As someone who’s the longest [term member] in the team, it was fun,” d4v41 said. “I hope that you guys still continue to support Paper Rex even without me or [Jinggg].”

With d4v41’s departure, only Jason “f0rsakeN” Susanto remains from the OG 2021 roster.

Goodbye, PRX Jinggg

Jinggg joined Paper Rex in late 2021, leaving his previous organization, Team SMG. Since then, he quickly got the attention of VCT fans for his flashy plays on Raze.

At the start of 2024, though, the organization moved him down to the Substitute role. This would remain the case for a few months, until he took back his starting spot once more.

“He’s the best Raze player in the world. Nobody will ever beat him,” said alecks. Outside of game, alecks had similar praises for the player. “All the boys enjoy his company. He’s been the most positive person and teammate I’ve ever had in my life. I have not seen him be negative or upset at his teammates, ever.”

“Since joining Paper Rex, I’ve grown quite a bit,” reflected Jinggg. He shared that he used to not speak or go out much, and that it’s now getting better. “Everyone’s like a family. I think that’s what I’m going to miss, the day-to-day with everyone.”

Heading into VCT 2027, only Adrian Jiggs “Invy” Reyes does not have an expiring contract. The rest of the remaining members, alecks, f0rsakeN, and Ilia “something” Petrov, all have contracts that will expire by the end of 2026.
